 Education is Freedom. There is one line from The Daily Stoic that resonates with me: "You picked up this book because you are learning how to live.  Because you want to be freer, fear less and achieve a state of peace." Even though I am currently 47 years old, I still feel this is an area of my life where I need to grow and learn techniques.  Set goals and boundaries and stick to them. I have been a people-pleaser my entire life.  Always putting myself last.  This has become worse since becoming a Mum.  I love my life and my family, but I generally put myself last.  I find it hard to say no.  I put other people/things ahead of myself.   This is something I am going to be leaving behind in 2024.  This year I am going to learn how to live a more peaceful and better existence.  My life feels like it is moving at a 'fast forward' pace.  My eldest son who is 14 is about to start working around his school work, and my youngest ...

Blogs are so 2000s! If you were in your 20s in the decade of 2000, then you probably read and owned a blogger account. Using this platform again feels very retro. 2025 is here. While I am not making any resolutions, I will be doing a lot of self-work and development and focusing on setting good, consistent habits. Habits I am going to be building this year: 1.  The Daily Stoic.  Each day I will read a page and journal my thoughts. 2.  Meditation. 10 minutes per day. 3.  Hit my water goal.  2ltr per day. 4. Complete Sarah Rusbatch’s 30-day alcohol-free challenge in January. 5. Weights sessions 3-5 times per week. 6. Weekly food prep. The Daily Stoic - This month is all about CLARITY and the heading for the 01st is Control and Choice.
